Today at Barrel we had guys from Joyride Coffee come by and brew us some of their speciality coffees from Africa, South America, Indonesia etc. They roast the coffee locally, right in Red Hook in Brooklyn. We tried 3 different flavors of their Stumptown Coffee Beans, no cream or sugar added. It tasted great black straight from the coffee chemex. There wasn’t an overwhelming bitter taste or undesirable aftertaste. There was a hint of maple and it went down smooth. We might end up getting a few of these..I kind of want one for myself.
